Değerli Okuyucularımız, 2005 Ekim ayından itibaren Avrupa Birliği ile tam üyelik müzakerelerine baş layacak olan ülkemizin bütün sosyal, ekonomik alanlarda olduğu gibi eğitim alanında da Avrupa Birliğine uyum çerçevesinde çeşitli reform çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Bu bağlamda; Millî Eğitim Bakanlığımız, eğitimde fırsat eşitliğini, ortak bir meslekî politikasını, meslek standardını ve kalite birlikteliğini sağlamak amacıyla Avrupa Birliği ülkelerinde uygulanmakta olan Socrates (Genel Eğitim), Leonardo Da Vinci (Mes lekî Eğitim) ve Youth (Gençlik) programlarına Nisan 2004 tarihinden itibaren resmen katılarak çalışmalarım sürdürmektedir. Dear Readers , We welcome you with 2005/ summer , 167* issue of the National Edu- cation Journal , focusing on " Education in the Course of the European Union ", which we announced in 164 th -165' h issue and expected contributions from everyone interested in the subject , partİcularly the academicians , through the - ir recommendations and articles . As the negotiations of European Union full membership will have star- ted by October 2005 reform studies are being carried out in our country not only in soda! and economic fields but also in the field of education . in this context , our Minİstry of National Education is carrying out its studies , and since April 2004 it has officially participated the programmes of Socrates (Ge neral Education ), Leonardo Da Vinci ( Vocational Education ) and Youth that are being İmplemented in European Union countries so as to promote equal opportunity of education , a common policy for vocational education , profes - sion standards and unity of quality . As the Journal of National Education , after announcing the topic to our readers , with a consideration to discuss the similarities and differences bet- ween the education systems of the European Union countries and our co untry and to provide various contributions to the field within the framework of the topic : " Education in the Course of European Union " which is a hot is sue nowadays , there had been a wide interest . Indeed , in such a short period we received research papers covering preschool , primary secondary and hig -her education in different European Union countries , and comprehensive articles including ali elements of education such as; the impact of education on economy , its social benefits , training of the mother tongue , training of teac - hers and administrators , supervision and career building in European Union countries . For his reason , we , as the Editorial Board, found it appropriate to publish our 167 th issue as a " Special issue ", eventhough we were planning to publish it in the form of a dossier . We appriciate everyone who provided contributions . Dear readers , We were thinking to publish the last issue of 2005 Editorial Programme as a special issue focusing on "Literatüre Education " as it was announced in the Journal's website . However , considering that there would be a serious delay in publishing the articles approved if two special issues were published respectively , we decided to focus on "Literatüre Education " within the first issue of the year 2006, February issue . We are looking forvvard to receiving yo- ur contributions . Hope to meet in our next issue ...
